I just bit by something I thought I should warn others about... I was configuring 2.0.0-beta1 with --prefix=/usr/local because otherwise it would install to something like /usr/local/samba/samba. This was fixed in 2.0.0-beta2 but I forgot to remove the --prefix=/usr/local and so I installed to /usr/local/bin, /usr/local/man, etc. No problem, just do a make uninstall I think to myself. Argh! It removed all files from /usr/local/man/man1, man3 and man5. Not a big deal, I have backups, but it should probably be fixed if the uninstall target is going to be used by anyone. Thankfully, it was a little more careful about what it removed from /usr/local/bin and lib. -- Todd Pfaff \ Email: pfaff@mcmaster.ca Computing and Information Services \ Voice: (905) 525-9140 x22920 ABB 132 \ FAX: (905) 528-3773 McMaster University \ Hamilton, Ontario, Canada L8S 4M1 \
