I recently upgraded from samba-1.9.16p2 to samba-1.9.18p10 and now am having
some difficulties with "write list" that worked well on the
samba-1.9.16p2 release.
my global section:

guest account = nobody
lock directory = /apps/samba/var/locks
preferred master = no
wins server = 172.16.1.1
the share :
[DocControl]
comment = Document Control
path = /apps/doccont
public = yes
read only = yes
write list = @doccontrol
create mask = 0775
force group = doccontrol
force user = lrodrigu
preserve case = yes
case sensitive = no
short preserve case = yes
It worked with the older version....only folks in the unix group doccontrol
could write to it. Now no one can write to it.
Have I missed something obvious?
