I'm using FreeBSD-2.2.7 with the stock ipfw and custom filters. The problem occurs when I have the firewall filters active, I am unable to connect to the smb share from my Windows98 client. However, if I drop the filters the problem goes away--so clearly, I'm overlooking something. I've enabled ports 139, 138, 137, etc. So, I'm wondering what other protocols or ports I need to permit through for this to work correctly. Thanks in advance.... Forrest
Hello, we have in smb.conf more password servers defined, but if the first server is down the connection hangs. Samba version 1.9.18p8 TIA , K.D. Meyer _/ _/ ___/ _____/ K. D.
