Sorry for posting this long message, but I'm hoping someone can help me
through this issue:
I've compiled samba 1.9.18p3 on Solaris-2.5.1 using gcc-2.8.1. It
compiled 100% clean. I read through the smb.conf file as well as other
docs in order to setup the config file. After setting up the config file
I ran the testparm command. The test generated no errors. At that point
I started smbd and nmbd through an rc script that I totally rewrote.
The daemons started fine until I tried to go into Network Neighborhood
within my Windows95 laptop. There's a combination of WinNT and 95
within this infrastructure. When I clicked the "Entire Network" icon
I
thought I should have seen the workgroup name or the machine name of
the Samba server. I named the workgroup "ChampUSA" and server name
"ChampUSA.COM". I did not see anything relating to samba working
properly. I decided to set the debug level to 3 and viewed the log.nmb
and log.smb files. Here's the output for both files.

Everything looks okay with the exception of it could not locate the
"/usr/local/samba/lib/lmhosts" file.
What's the actual syntax for testing the printer with the
"smbclient" command?
The printername is okips1.
(BTW, I typed testprns okips1. The output is the following:)
Looking for printer okips1 in printcap file lpstat
Printer name okips1 is valid.
So it looks like the print setup is fine.
