We are currently running rev 1.9.18p2 under Sun os 4.14 and seeing a
problem with dos/wfw clients. Seems when the user creates, moves, or
otherwise uses the Samba shares, they're file names get corrupted. The
files themself are fine but change name when moving from the local fat hd
to the samba share. any clues?
No problems with Win95 or NT clients.

Jeff, Can you send to samba-bugs a simple discription of the problem - eg. your smb.conf, and a smbd level 10 log showing *one* file being moved and the original name and the new name. I'm afraid we don't have any DOS or WfW clients here to easily test this but the log should help.
