Hi! I use samba 1.9.18p3 on Solaris 2.5.1 and am I glad to have it! I have configured samba to create one log file per machine so log.smb used to be empty. A couple of days ago I noticed that log.smb had grown to about 70KB. It only says: "Can't create or use semaphore No space left on device". Now since "df -k" tells me that all of my file systems have enough space left, what could be the reason for this messages? It worked ok with 95 but not with 98. It turned out that the password being entered was upper case whereas what was on the server was lower case. 95 didn't seem to mind but 98 did. I guess that the problem might be the same with Samba. Try changing the password's case and see if it works. "Brian Fernald" <fernald@nsi.edu>'s problem may be the same. Graham
Hello Samba users - I have a Solaris 2.5.1 machine with the pre-compiled set of Samba executables on it, and only one user can connect to the mounts at a time. They can connect multiple times to the same mount point, but still no other users can connect to any mounts at all while that other user is connected. The PC returns with an error message saying something like "Cannot authenticate your username and password. PCNFS is unavailable..." However, I have an AIX machine that allows multiple users to connect all the time. The config files are very similar, and nothing elaborate. Has anyone seen this problem? If so, what is the solution.
