I?m using samba 1.9.18.p2 on a Solaris 2.5.1 server and was wondering how can I manage to calculate the real memory consumption of samba. The following is a "/usr/ucb/ps -uxca | grep smbd" from the server and I not know how to calculate how much memory is really using. USER PID %CPU %MEM SZ RSS TT S START TIME COMMAND root 870 1.6 1.0 2208 1776 ? S 09:19:43 0:05 smbd root 194 0.0 0.6 1880 1136 ? S 09:04:52 0:00 smbd root 787 0.0 1.0 2208 1848 ? S 09:16:58 0:01 smbd root 903 0.0 0.9 2176 1696 ? S 09:20:49 0:00 smbd root 1068 0.0 1.0 2208 1776 ? S 09:26:44 0:00 smbd root 1288 0.0 1.0 2208 1776 ? S 09:33:11 0:03 smbd root 2661 0.0 1.0 2208 1760 ? S 10:08:50 0:00 smbd root 3507 0.0 1.0 2208 1776 ? S 10:27:03 0:00 smbd root 3664 0.0 1.0 2208 1776 ? S 10:30:29 0:00 smbd Besides this, I will really have to know how to answer a question such as: "How much memory will samba need to install a 30 client samba server?" and questions like this. Thanx in advance. -- ...
