Hi, I have Linux slackware 2.0.30, gcc 2.7.2.3, gnu make 3.76.1, running on a 486. I have set the Makefile to compile for Linux with shadow and quota, no PAM, made a symbolic link so it finds quota.h., and created all (I think) the directories where files are to reside for installation. I have read the docs, the newsgroup and this list for several days. I get the following error: .. .. Compiling smbpass.c cc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 6 make: *** [smbpass.o] Error 1 I have tried compiling with and without the -DLINUX_BIGCRYPT flag to no avail. I can't find any glibc2 so I don't think I have that. I have looked at smbpass.c and it looks fine to me... (i.e. there is no comment saying /* this line is the problem */). Please help. Thanks, - Roy rj.meyers@worldnet.att.net
