Hi Fellow SAMBA-ers
I've just attempted to upgrade from 1.9.17p5 to 1.9.18p2 on a Solaris
2.5.1 server.
1.9.17p5 is working fine, except for a few file permission problems.
>From my NT 4.0 client when I try to browse the 1.9.18p2 server, I get the
following messages in the ./var/log.nmb file
process_node_status_request: status request for name *<00> from IP
167.130.42.12
on subnet REMOTE_BROADCAST_SUBNET - name not found.
The server is at 167.130.46.20 (on a *different* subnet). I can browse the
Samba server okay from a client on the .46. subnet, but not from the .42.
subnet.
When I send a kill -HUP to the nmbd process the namelist.debug logs the
following:
Subnet REMOTE_BROADCAST_SUBNET
----------------------
Name = ISB012-TOKEN<00> Source = LMHOSTS_NAME
b_flags = 6 death_time = PERMANENT refresh_time = Tue Jan 27 17:12:25 1998
number of IPS = 1 0.0.0.0
Does anyone have any ideas? I was running nmbd with a -Hlmhosts flag,
but I'm more than happy to drop this if it is a bad idea.
Any help or suggestions much appreciated.
Thanks
James.
