Hi all. I currently have samba-1.9.17 running on my sparc, solaris 2.5.1, print serving for a single win95 box. The printer is actually remote to both boxes -- its an HP 5Si connected via ethernet and a jetdirect card. I'd like to know how to set up an input filter on the sparc, so I can send postscript from the win95 machine to the sparc, and have the sparc process the postscript before it is sent to the printer. The printer itself does not do postscript. So, this would involve using ghostscript, or the HP JetAdmin software, I would assume. What I don't understand is how to do the input filter. I'd actually rather use ghostscript, as I'm sure its much more versatile, and I think the JetAdmin needs to be running all the time. I'd like to manipulate the postscript, like making it duplex, 2-up, add headers, etc.. I can handle the pre-processing, via enscript, mpage, etc.. So, I'd really like to use ghostscript as a preprosser/input filter using SysV printing. My Linux box certainly had no problems! Dave
