samba - Dec 1997 - nmblookup / samba on w32

ok heres a strange one...

has anyone seen or heard of a nmblookup equiv for win32?  in our
enterprise, we are using a product called Net-ID that ties DNS and DHCP
together, but it has problems... so i want to get a WINS lookup utility
(ala nmblookup) for Win32 machines...

or...

i want to know if anyone has tried compiling samba using Cygnus GNUW32?

DAMN THE MAN!!! HELP SAVE COOL MUSIC ---- _Empire_Records_

You can the the nbtstat program to do what you want.  If you have the IP
address use this command -

	nbtstat -A IPAddress
	
If you have a machine name -

	nbtstat -a MachineName
	
This queries the machine in question, so it will fail it the machine is not
on the network.
