Hi, all. I am asking for help here. I am sorry if I have violated rule. I have a printer (HP laser jet III) on my unix computer. When I print the file from the PC to that printer, the formating is wrong. It prints on the left side of the paper, and some of the line is broken to two lines and printed on top of the next line. Can anyone help me? Hi, There: I have Samba installed in my Linux machine, which joined in a domain named IUSD by setting "workgroup=IUSD" in the smb.conf file. Now everything seems ok. user can read and write the files in My Linux machine from other WinNT machine as long as this user also has an account for My Linux machine (i.e., the Samba server). Now the problem is that I do not want to add every user in the domain IUSD one by one again (more than hundreds users in the domain IUSD). How can I just use the user database on the IUSD master domain controller to make every user in the domain IUSD be a valid user for My Linux machine? I tried put " security=server" and " password server = IUSD0" in the smb.conf file, here IUSD0 is the PDC in the domain IUSD. But it does not work. Thank you very much! I am looking forward to hearing you as soon as possible. -- ------------------------- Jialiang Li lijiali@statcan.ca ITSD (613) 951-3133 (W) -------------------------
