samba - Aug 1997 - Windows 95 Hanging at logout

When our windows 95 machines try to "login as a different user" the
screen
dims and then the computer just stops. This happens about 95% of the time
but not all the time. 

Any ideas?

max mux must be set to the same value that NT server hands out.  this 
value is "50" which is the default now for 1.9.17alpha5.
