suggestion for a GDBM library if we still needed one:

Actually, I just discovered that that this is included in the GnuWin32 project on SourceForge, so that would be the proper place for us to retrieve it, if we decide to include it. Of course, this would also need to include the ruby interface: ruby-gdbm.
