rsync - Nov 2005 - large file support

Wondering if rsync support very large files
Im trying to backup a 15Gb .tar.gz file, is one file, but keeps hanging in 
the middle of the transfer.

You aren't running out of free disk space in the middle?

There is always some kind of error message.
You or I may not understand it, but there's people here who do.
