rsync - Oct 2005 - Set default owner

Hi,

I use the below command to freshen or fetch files:

/usr/bin/rsync --rsh=/usr/local/openssh/bin/ssh -rltDv --delete $source 
$destination

When a file is fetched (as new, and not freshened) it is created locally 
with owner/group as root:other, i.e. it is run as a root cron.

Is it possible for newly created files to be owned by another user, even 
though it is running as root?

The only options rsync supports are to preserve the owner, or to create
the file using the current user.
