rsync - May 2005 - Copy multiple directories with I call

Hello,
can I copy more than one directory with one executing of rsync.
I want to have:

programme -> backup/programme
dokumente/wichtig -> backup/dokumente/wichtig

but i would like to acomplish this with only one call to rsync.

See the --relative (-R) option.  E.g.:

    rsync -avR programme dokumente/wichtig backup
