[Bug 1673] Verbose dry run doesn't report replacements of symlink with directory
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1673 wayned@samba.org changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Severity|normal |minor Status|NEW |ASSIGNED Priority|P3 |P4 ------- Additional Comments From wayned@samba.org 2004-09-17 15:32 ------- Yes, there are several aspects of a full transfer that aren't reported properly in dry-run mode. In this instance the symlink happens to point to a directory where up-to-date files exist, so rsync is fooled into believing that they won't be transferred. To fix this, rsync will need to keep track of invalidated path prefixes that cause files below them to be marked as not existing. Something to look into fixing at some point in the future, along with bug 1433 and bug 1764. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.samba.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.
