Hello All, I have searched the archives with no mention of this problem. I am using rsync to sync up a production directory to a disaster site system of the same model. Both systems are IBM RS/6000 running AIX 4.3.3. Initially the rsync worked fine. The second time it would hang on a file and then error out with unexpected tag 28. If I delete the file on the remote system and try rsync again it will work on that file but fail on another one down the line. This has happened on two different AIX systems. On the other system I just do a remote shell and remove the backed up directory and then do the rsync but this system has to much data to do that. Here is the command I am using: rsync -e rsh --rsync-path=/usr/local/bin/rsync -varPpgot /usr/pdx/ rxhostDR:/usr/pdx Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
