when updating rsync in portage with the 2.6.0 release, i noticed we were still applying the proxy auth patch ... http://www.mail-archive.com/rsync@lists.samba.org/msg03596.html looking through this list i found that the author of the patch e-mailed here and it was supposed to be included with 2.6.0, but it's not ? :) was it just left behind due to being forgotten ? -mike

Martin liked the patch back in early 2002, so I'm not sure why it didn't make it in back then. I just committed this proxy enhancement into the CVS version, so it will be in the next release. ..wayne..
