Yes it will. I have empty files on my software server that is
mirrored to several sites;
beaufort{Tools}% ls -l
total 0
-rw-rw-r-- 1 Tools Tools 0 Jul 27 09:18 acrobat.4.05
-rw-rw-r-- 1 Tools Tools 0 Feb 12 2001 apollo.00.2.3.4.0.5
-rw-rw-r-- 1 Tools Tools 0 May 29 13:57
avanti_apollo.2000.2.3.4.0.7
-rw-rw-r-- 1 Tools Tools 0 Aug 5 11:16 avanti_hercules.2000.4.1
I use rsync to keep these server up to date and as you can see above,
there are empty files.
