As many of your know the 3.4.3 security release had a number of regressions that stemmed from the test suite not covering some use cases and the difficulty of doing a beta test for a security release. For future releases we now have a much more comprehensive test suite, plus I'm thankful for the people who have come forward to help with testing. Special thanks to Zen Dodd (Tao on discord) who helped with the 3.4.4 release process. There will be a 3.5.0 release fairly soon as well. This will include a significant number of security updates and we have a greatly expanded rsync security team to review and test those changes. Those changes will need to go via the distros embargoed release process and get CVE numbers assigned so will take a while. As usual the release is on https://rsync.samba.org/ with links to the release files. In addition I have updated the rsync-stable PPA (see the link from the install page) for those of you on ubuntu. Finally you may notice that there are backport patches for this release to 3.2.7 and 3.4.1. Those are to help distros who maintain LTS releases that are locked to those versions update their patched versions to get these regression fixes.
