As a matter of fact, I was going to ask how we could take care of the rhmask thing. I have had secureweb 3.1.1 installed and just yesterday grabbed an updated (bug fix) version of 3.1.2.rhmask. Please be kind to share the info. Thanks a lot :) "Ron C. Colcernian" <rcc@dresults.com> wrote: Sorry for the post. RHMASK(8) RHMASK(8)
NAME
rhmask - generates and recovers file masks
SYNOPSIS
rhmask <infile> <maskfile>
rhmask -d <infile> <outfile> <maskfile>
DESCRIPTION
rhmask is intended to allow the distribution of files as
masks against other files. This lets new versions of soft<AD>
ware be freely distributed on public internet servers but
limits their usefulness to those who already have a copy
of the package. It uses a simple XOR scheme for creating
the file mask and uses file size and md5 sums to ensure
the integrity of the result.

Kevin, If you still need this information: To generate the updated rpm: 1) Load the original rpm from the CD (file: secureweb.....) 2) Download the .rhmask version from the ftp site into the same directory (although that''s probably not a requirement.) 3) Type: rhmask filename_of_original_version filename_of_rhmask_file_from_ftpsite 4) And it will generate the new rpm. It''s so easy, I''m embarrassed that I posted the question. Ron "Kevin U." wrote:> > As a matter of fact, I was going to ask how we could take care of the rhmask > thing.
