The original RHSWS 2.0 (from CD) has the following compiled options:
/usr/sbin/httpsd -V
Server version: Red Hat Secure/2.0 (Unix)
Server built: Sep 12 1998 00:09:03
Server''s Module Magic Number: 19980713
Server compiled with....
-D HTTPD_ROOT="/etc/httpd"
-D HAVE_MMAP
-D HAVE_SHMGET
-D USE_SHMGET_SCOREBOARD
-D USE_MMAP_FILES
-D NO_WRITEV
-D USE_FLOCK_SERIALIZED_ACCEPT
The ''update'' has:
/usr/sbin/httpsd -V
Server version: Red Hat Secure/2.0 (Unix)
Server built: Jun 2 1999 12:32:18
Server''s Module Magic Number: 19980917:0
Server compiled with....
-D HAVE_MMAP
-D HAVE_SHMGET
-D USE_SHMGET_SCOREBOARD
-D USE_MMAP_FILES
-D NO_WRITEV
-D USE_FLOCK_SERIALIZED_ACCEPT
-D HTTPD_ROOT="/etc/httpd"
-D SUEXEC_BIN="/usr/sbin/suexec"
-D SHARED_CORE_DIR="/usr/lib/apache"
-D DEFAULT_PIDLOG="/var/run/httpsd.pid"
-D DEFAULT_SCOREBOARD="/var/run/httpsd.scoreboard"
-D DEFAULT_LOCKFILE="/var/run/httpsd.lock"
-D DEFAULT_XFERLOG="/var/log/httpd/access_log"
-D DEFAULT_ERRORLOG="/var/log/httpd/error_log"
-D TYPES_CONFIG_FILE="conf/mime.types"
-D SERVER_CONFIG_FILE="conf/httpd.conf"
-D ACCESS_CONFIG_FILE="conf/access.conf"
-D RESOURCE_CONFIG_FILE="conf/srm.conf"
The update is un-usable for me unless I use the specific files in
<ServerRoot>conf/ (httpd.conf, srm.conf, and access.conf). Can anyone
advise on how to use httpsd with ''-f /my/own/directory/setup/''
and have it
not bomb out on me?
For example, I want to use
httpsd -f /www/httpd/ssl_conf/httpsd-02.conf
But it bombs out. The error logs says "httpsd: could not open document
config file /www/httpd/conf/httpd.conf".
It worked with the 1.0 series, and with the original 2.0 server, but not
the updated 2.0, and I don''t have a copy of 3.? to test (can someone
show
me the output of ''httpsd -V'' from 3.0?)
Are there any available copies of RHSWS without the following compile time
options?:
-D TYPES_CONFIG_FILE="conf/mime.types"
-D SERVER_CONFIG_FILE="conf/httpd.conf"
-D ACCESS_CONFIG_FILE="conf/access.conf"
-D RESOURCE_CONFIG_FILE="conf/srm.conf"
PS- Are we selling 3.0 again? Or is it terminated until 3.1 comes out?
If it has the right options, I''ll gladly upgrade...:)
