I am not a RedHat person, just a fellow subscriber. Oddly enuf, this list seems to have virtually no activity. RedHat ECServer is on backorder & the listserver is really quiet? Go figure. Anyway, I''m glad to get SOMETHING. Welcome Dave! Russ Schissler Dave Stites wrote:> > Hello, > > Am I missing something here? I''ll throw something out. I''m new to Unix and Linux. What a new world! Has anyone had a problem loading comanche? I loaded the standard ''server install'' from the e-commerce edition cd. I installed comanche from the ''Update option'' on the e-commerce install cd as it was not part of the ''server install''. I get script errors when I try to run comanche. Unfortunately, comanche advertises itself as working much better than it truly does, and it does have issues. I knew you would ask that. Error in Startup Script: invalid command name "ReadConfigFiles" while executing "ReadConfigFiles ..." (follow by a line of Latin or Italian) (object "::cnftree " method "::CnfTree::Load " body line 60) invoked within "$this Load $mynode " (object "::cnftree " method "::CnfTree::Load " body line 54) invoked within " Load $parent " (object "::cnftree " method "::CnfTree::Load " body line 10) invoked within " cnftree Load " " " (file "main.tcl" line 57) BTW: This is probably a dumb question but how can I copy and ASCII file to a floppy on Linux that I can read in Windows? Simply insert a dos formatted floppy and type "mcopy filename a:" just like the good old DOS copy utility. We''ll have a look into this comanche issue. --- Preston Brown Systems Engineer pbrown@redhat.com Red Hat, Inc.
