PHP doesn''t run at all, that''s what.Simple. you compile a whole lot of php''s. CDROM''s have plenty of space last I checked. updates.redhat.com also has plenty of space I am sure. php-base php-mysql php-oracle php-mysql-msql etc etc etc. This process can be easily automated on a system with all the appropriate db''s installed (--with-mysql, etc). Otherwise I don''t really see any point in recomending this product to customers since there will be no appreciable benefit over compiling everything yourself.>I know it is somewhat of a pain to recompile PHP, but unless you can offer >an alternative solution to the current scenario, I''m afraid there is not >much we can do. Your suggestion about multiple php binaries is a reasonable one, and we will consider it for a future Secure Web Server release. --- -Preston Brown Red Hat Software, Inc. pbrown@redhat.com

Street price on that is about USD99. Other than that, you tend to pay noticeably more. You could, of course, go with the latest IIS under NT for "free." :-)>Your suggestion about multiple php binaries is a reasonable one, and we >will consider it for a future Secure Web Server release.Gets my vote. The "stripped down" php3 w/o any of the add-ons is unlikely to be of much use to the majority of php3 users. Personally, I''d be interested in mysql, imap, ldap, and xml, but tastes differ. --Jon Radel jon@radel.com

I hear lots of requests for a combination something like the above, so that will probably be the first one. I''ll let you know if and how this develops. --- -Preston Brown Red Hat Software, Inc. pbrown@redhat.com

It''s free (but not OSS). Interesting product--nicely integrated with the AolPress HTML editor. We use it for a summer computer camp. Kinda wonder what''ll happen to it post the Netscape merger. -- Robert G.
