I just did an install on a RH 5.1 box, all the necessary upgrades.
I''ve gotten and installed the errata for secure web server 2.0.
Whenever I try and enable mod_perl, I get the following in my
logs:
This is with the "official" mod_perl 1.16:
[Mon Jan 11 16:21:03 1999] [notice] SIGHUP received. Attempting to restart
Apache.pm failed to load!.
It does this whether the handler for .pl files is set to mod_perl or not.
mod_perl 1.17 gets a little further. If I don''t enable the handler for
.pl files in srm.conf, it works just fine. However, if I re-enable the
handler, I get the same thing:
[Mon Jan 11 16:40:40 1999] [notice] SIGHUP received. Attempting to restart
Apache.pm failed to load!.
The php3 modules seems to be ok.
I''ve checked, and there are, like, 5 copies of Apache.pm sitting
around.
No way to tell which one it''s using. I tried overwriting them all with
the latest one I had, from Dec. 10.
I have tried this both with the perl that comes with RSS2.0, and with
5.005_2.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Hallow
