I don''t own a PC at all, and rely on BrowserCam for my occasional forays into Windows land to figure out if a page looks right or behaves correctly. I have an issue with a sortable list, but only in IE6 -- other IEs work just fine. I am wondering what I can do with one hand tied behind my back like this. I can''t install a debugger on the BrowserCam machine, so what are my options to figure this out? Yes, I do know about eBay. I did try Firebug Lite, and it got me the line number, which led to the solution. I had never tried that before, and I found it useful in that it led me to the right spot to stare at, but difficult in that I had been well spoiled by the real Firebug, with its elaborate and clear messages and links to the actual problem code, etc. Walter On Dec 7, 2007, at 12:24 PM, Walter Lee Davis wrote:> > No, I have only PPC kit here. > > Walter > > On Dec 7, 2007, at 12:11 PM, Andrew Sherlock-CF wrote: > >> >> Is running Windows in a virtual machine an opton? >> >> Andrew Sherlock, >> ------------------- >> >>> -----Original Message----- >>> From: rubyonrails-spinoffs-/JYPxA39Uh5TLH3MbocFFw@public.gmane.org >>> [mailto:rubyonrails-spinoffs-/JYPxA39Uh5TLH3MbocFFw@public.gmane.org] On Behalf Of >>> Walter Lee Davis >>> Sent: 07 December 2007 16:50 >>> To: rubyonrails-spinoffs-/JYPxA39Uh5TLH3MbocFFw@public.gmane.org >>> Subject: [Rails-spinoffs] Debugging in IE6 >>> >>> >>> I don''t own a PC at all, and rely on BrowserCam for my occasional >>> forays into Windows land to figure out if a page looks right or >>> behaves correctly. >>> >>> I have an issue with a sortable list, but only in IE6 -- other IEs >>> work just fine.
