Hello, I''m using Prototype with Ruby on Rails application. I get one strange behavior of Prototype. Some computers with IE doesn''t work at all, but some computers with IE works normally. However, it works well on Opera and FF. When I first type the url of my page run locally, it loads normally. But if I move my mouse cursor over the content area of IE, it appears "Internet Explorer is getting problems......Press Send, Don''t Send to send reports". When i press don''t send, IE is shutting down. Why was that? How to solve it? When I exclude the prototype.js from the application, it works normally. Can anyone help me? I''m appreciate your answers......... You''ll have to provide an example. I''ve only personally seen one "normal" piece of JavaScript crash IE: ActiveX PNG filters for IE6 machines with very little free RAM. In that case it wasn''t Prototype. - Ken Chamnap wrote:> Hello, > > I''m using Prototype with Ruby on Rails application. I get one strange > behavior of Prototype. I mean when I include "prototype.js" in my application, my application will be down after my mouse cursor is moving on the content area of the browser (IE). But if I remove "prototype.js", IE doesn''t go wrong. It is difficult to show you because my IE works normally, but IE in my some of peers has problems like this. my computer at home also has. I mean some are ok, but some have problems. You know, I have actually experienced this before but have never tracked it down. It actually happens to me in Firefox as well. It is just 2 seconds at the most; usually 1/2 second. Is this what you are seeing? Anyone else experience this sort of "lag"? I''ll post back if I ever dig up the problem. Yes, But this happens to me on IE only. If I don''t move my mouse cursor over the content area of browser, the browser won''t be down.
