Hello everyone, I''m a newbie of script.aculo.us here. In fact, I''m redesigning an ASP web application and I wanna know whether it is possible to use script.aculo.us in an application in ASP ? Thanks u all and have a good time on AJAX :D --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Spinoffs" group. Both Prototype and script.aculo.us are entirely backend-agnostic. AAMOF, a fair number of the subscribers to this list use ASP or ASP.NET; you''ll also find a large bunch of PHP, J2EE and Python users, Rails users naturally, and even less-used webapp choices such as ColdFusion, Perl or actual C-based CGI programs! -- Christophe Porteneuve aka TDD tdd-x+CfDp/qHev2eFz/2MeuCQ@public.gmane.org --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Spinoffs" group. Christophe Porteneuve wrote:> and even less-used webapp choices > such as ColdFusion, Perl or actual C-based CGI programs! No offence, but there are probably an order of magnitude more web sites written in Perl than in Python or Ruby :) -- Michael Peters Developer Plus Three, LP --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Spinoffs" group. Hey Michael, Michael Peters a écrit :> No offence, but there are probably an order of magnitude more web sites written > in Perl than in Python or Ruby :)Oh, totally! I was more alluding to choices *these days*. Perl certainly powers a ton of websites, but many of those were coded back when Perl was one of the prominent options. I''m not dissing Perl in the least, mind you. Ruby got many great ideas from it! :-) -- Christophe Porteneuve aka TDD tdd-x+CfDp/qHev2eFz/2MeuCQ@public.gmane.org --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Spinoffs" group. Re: Question from a newbie
BTW, if you are using ASP.NET (and not classic (sic) ASP), check out MonoRail at the Castle project (http://www.castleproject.org) which is a port of Rails to ASP.NET. It supports Prototype an Scriptaculous in much the same way Rails does.
