Hi, I would like to use the Form.request method of Prototype to submit the values of the form-elements as JSON-hash to the server. Is there a way to do this with Form.request or do I have to use Form.serialize and Ajax.Request? Either I just haven''t searched enough or there''s really nothing about that in the docs. I''m wondering about this cause there''s this note in the Form.serialize documentation: "As of Prototype 1.5 the preferred form of passing parameters to an Ajax request is with an object hash. [..] The old behavior (serializing to string) is kept for backwards- compatibility." So it''s a bit confusing in my opinion that there''s no getHash- parameter for Form.request. Greetings from Germany, Oliver Haag P.S.: Prototype is really a great project, I''m using it only for a few days now and don''t want to work without it anymore :) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Spinoffs" group.
