Hi all I''m using effect.slidedown to hide an element with display:none ''inlined''. When the element is not a table it works beautifully but when it is the element just appears with no animation, can anyone tell me whether this a known issue, or am i doing something wrong etc and basically how can i fix it? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Spinoffs" group. Re: Effect.SlideDown and tables = no sliding just appearing?!
Basically, avoid using effects on tables. TABLE and related elements are not treated correctly (as per the spec) across some browsers (esp. IE), and the effects won''t work correctly on them. If you need to slideup a complete table, you can wrap it in a DIV and use the effect on that DIV.
