Prototype addons at prototypejs.groupswiki.com
FYI - I''ve started a wiki of prototype addons at: http://prototypejs.groupswiki.com/ There''s a few tools in there that a few may have not seen before. I really like tablekit myself. :) Cheers, Ben --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Spinoffs" group. Just look at scriptaculous''s wiki. It''s out of date and hard to find what you''re looking for. I''d much rather see something like the JSAN project done for Prototype (http://openjsan.org/). Each group or developer could upload their addon''s distribution which contains the source code, documentation, tests and examples which would all be browesable. Distributions could also provide dependencies. Maybe there''s some way to team up with the jsan folks to create a prototype specific version to reduce duplicate effort. -- Michael Peters Developer Plus Three, LP --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Spinoffs" group. Re: Prototype addons at prototypejs.groupswiki.com
Hi Michael, Thanks for the reply. You''re right that a jsan-like project would be ideal - are there any in the works? A wiki isn''t perfect but I think it''s a good start - and all the data can be sucked out later and migrated into a real addons database at some later date. http://prototypejs.groupswiki.com/pages.xml I''m doing my part to stop the constant redevelopment that goes on in the prototype world. There''s * so much * great code out there already!
