Hi Guys, The prototype docs state the following: "You can pull the brake on a running PeriodicalUpdater by simply calling its stop method. If you wish to re-enable it later, just call its start method. Both take no argument." But it doesnt give any examples of how to do this, can someone please post an example? Thanks! --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Spinoffs" group. When you initialize it you need to store it to a var, so you have something to call the start/stop on. Ie: var myUpdater = new Ajax.PeriodicalUpdater(...) ... myUpdater.stop() On 3/1/07, Christophe Porteneuve <tdd-x+CfDp/qHev2eFz/2MeuCQ@public.gmane.org> wrote:> > > c0ldsk0Ol a écrit : > > But it doesnt give any examples of how to do this, can someone please > > post an example? > > I see examples both on the main page: > > http://prototypejs.org/api/periodicalExecuter > > and the stop() page: > > http://prototypejs.org/api/periodicalExecuter/stop > > -- > Christophe Porteneuve a.k.a.
