Rails spinoffs - Feb 2007 - handling a network outage?

i defined an onFailure function but it isnt being fired in the case of the
web server being down.  is there an easy way to implement an error function
for this using prototype?  or maybe some kind of timeout?  thanks.

onFailure is fired when a response is obtained, and its status code is
neither null, nor zero, nor 2xy.

Use the onException callback.  Either locally on your specific
Request/Updater or globally by registering at Ajax.Responders.
