Rails spinoffs - Nov 2006 - inserting a file

I have a block of html code that''s in a seperate file
Is there a way to insert it in a call ?
Like -

onclick="new
Insertion.Bottom(''editform'',''myfile'',{synchronous:true});">

Or some other function ?

Use Ajax.Updater with its insertion option, something along the lines of
this example:

new Ajax.Updater(''yourContainerDiv'',
''url/to/your/file'', {
  insertion: Insertion.Bottom });
