Yeap, many packages are outdated because we lack hands, time for the hands
available, and the current guidelines do not scale very well. Also there
are other, better, solutions for getting binary packages, including yours,
and including my own Copr repo for Fedora, so I only update packages in the
official repos when I'm forced to (e.g. when they fail and block an R
update). Or if you poke me a bit.
