glm2 (1.1) is now available on CRAN. glm2 fits generalized linear models using the same model specification as glm, but with a modified fitting method that is more stable for models that may fail to converge using glm (see: R Journal 3/2, 2011, pp.12-15). The previous version of glm2 had to be archived because it called a Fortran routine no longer available in R >= 2.15.1.
