R help - Mar 2025 - answer to "can't get package with tcl/tk on WSL Ubuntu"

Hello:

I re-compiled R using the following:

./configure --enable-R-shlib=yes --with-x=no --with-tcltk
--with-readline=no --with-openblas

and all was well.
