Without some data it hard to say why this error occurs. Normaly lm is called
like
lm(y~x, some.data)
where x and y are names of columns in some.data object (usually data.frame). But
I presume that sample_est[,...] are not numeric or there are only NA values in
them.

This is easy. Your columns are of class factor. If you think it should be
numeric, you has to find out why it was changed to factor by reading to R.

This error message is also self explaining ab_ret has only one dimension.

Final comments.
You should learn at least some basic facts about R objects and manipulation with
them. There is "R intro" document in your installation.
You can inspect your objects by three simple functions
str(object)
dim(object)
head(object)
and you can provide data by e.g.
dput(yourdata[1:20, ])
And you should configure your mail client to send plain text. In this case your
message was readable but it is not guaranteed if you use HTML formating.

BTW
this construction
[((i-1)*311+1):(i*311)
can be replaced by
ind<-rep(1:n, each=311)
which will create vector of numbers from 1 to n each repeted 311 times and you
can use this for selection.
