R help - Jul 2001 - partial least squares

Hi

does anyone have any experience of partial least squares in R (preferably
PLS-2). I do not think there is a package, at least not one pre-complied for
Windows. If anyone has noticed code anywhere, a template for the algorithm
that I could then develop in R or have any experience they want to share
could they please let me know.

In Appendix E of Brown, P.J. (1993) "Measurement, Regression and
Calibration",
Clarendon Press/Oxford, there is a short function in S that can readily be
converted to R (in fact, it doesn't seem that it will need any change).
