Ivan and Hadley, et al.
Historically, (that is to say in June) revdep_check flags those 27 as failures
(can not check) but doesn't stop working. Now, it just stops working with
that error message.
My version of R is up to date (4.5.2) and I have installed the latest version of
Mac OS.
I will try installing X-code. I did not want to cross post to the Mac-group
until i tried the developer group first.

Hmmm, in general you shouldn't need to build the binaries when you can just
download them from CRAN. So I'd start by figuring out why that's not
happening? Is your version of R out of date? Or has one of your reverse
dependencies just been submitted to CRAN and thus doesn't have a binary yet?
