R devel - Nov 2019 - Social Media Trackers on www.r-project.org

Hi,

I don't know if this is the right place to comment about this, but I am
curious why there are social media trackers on www.r-project.org. I am
guessing this is related to the News Via Twitter portion of the website,
but I find it odd that going to www.r-project.org allows Twitter to collect
data on me, which I haven't consented. Maybe News via Twitter doesn't
need
to be on the home page but instead in the sidebar like the blog. Not sure
if that fixes this problem as I'm not a web developer.
