[Rd] something wrong in package submission procedure/website
Yesterday I uploaded new rockchalk_1.8.97. Then I received email saying that I needed to confirm the submission. Here's the message. Dear Paul E. Johnson Someone has submitted the package rockchalk to CRAN. You are receiving this email to confirm the submission as the maintainer of this package. To confirm the submission to CRAN, follow or copy & paste the following link into your browser: http://xmpalantir.wu.ac.at/cransubmit/conf_mail.php?code=b95e95eb5317901449ed7d311053bad8 If you did not submit the package or do not wish for it to be submitted to CRAN, simply ignore this email Submission Information: Submitter: Paul Johnson <pauljohn at ku.edu> Package: rockchalk Version: 1.8.97 Note the email has the correct package version 1.8.97, what I uploaded yesterday. The email points to a webpage where I confirm submission. The 3rd box there requires me to agree to "I have fixed all probelms shown on the package check page(which links to http://cran.r-project.org/web/checks/check_results_rockchalk.html). The problem is that the package check has a report on the PREVIOUS rockchalk 1.8.92, not the one I uploaded yesterday. So none of the beautiful repairs I implemented show up :( pj -- Paul E. Quite possibly, I should keep my big mouth shut and let the CRAN'ers answer this, but at face value, you submit a new version and are asked to confirm that problems with the previous version are fixed; isn't that as it should be? -pd On 08 Feb 2016, at 16:10 , Paul Johnson <pauljohn32 at gmail.com> wrote:> Yesterday I uploaded new rockchalk_1.8.97. Paul, I think it is working as intended / you are seeing correct i nfo. They are just trying to make sure you have fixed any problems in your previous package (that is now be being built with a newer R, so problems show up that weren?t there when you originallly submitted the previous version). So if you fixed those (beautifully) and didn?t introduce any new problems (we always pray, and test), you should be good to go.
