R devel - Sep 2004 - fatal error: unable to restor saved data . Rdata (PR#7253)

OS: MAC OS 10.3.5

R was succesfully installed and worked fine, however, after I closed the session
and also tried to save this, the next time staringup R I get the message
"fatal
error: unable to restore saved dat in .RData. I tried to re-install R but this
did not work

Please check the directory you are working on.
