Greetings,
I have some problems running R with parameters --gui=gnome.
When I mark text in console, and want to copy it, R crashes
with the following note:
Gdk-ERROR **: file gdkselection.c: line 331 (gdk_string_to_compound_text):

I've been using versions R-1.6.1 and R-1.8.0
The problem is the same no matter if I run R under kde 3.1.4 or gnome 2.4,
or if I mark with a mouse or keyboard
I've compiled it with gcc-3.2.3-r3
gdk 1.2
kernel 2.4.23_pre8-gss
I use Gentoo linux distribution
