The bug was already filed as bug report #1088 by Peter Whiting,
including the suggestion for a fix.
So far the fix looks reasonable, if the setting of xpd=TRUE is needed
anywhere [and cannot determined automatically by a smart piece of code].
I cannot imagine such a situation, can anyone tell me the reason why
par(xpd=TRUE) should be set (hard coded or as a default), please? Thank
you.
