I have built a new Linux->mingw32 cross-compiler using the equivalent of MinGW-1.1 updated by the latest header files. Links are on the Rtools portal. I've tested it as far as cross-compiling R-devel and running some tests. There were several cross-compilers I found on the Web, but all lacked Fortran support. If you are upgrading, beware that this is mingw32- and not i386-mingw32msvc-, so MkRules will need to be changed. (Also, beware that HEADERS there must be correct: if wrong compilation may succeed but use the Linux headers.) -- Brian D.
