Hi, I am using Debian and get R from CRAN just fine, but could not find it in the Debian distribution. Did I overlook something? If not, is it hard to put it there? I am not concerned with this really, but there are things that are based on that particular tree, such as the autobuilding process for the Hurd (for which R was working at least once): http://people.debian.org/~jbailey/oasis/group/Debian/index.html ? So r-base was just not taken up by Turtle. People like me who are still running stable can get up-to-date R packages by sticking the following line in /etc/apt/sources.list: deb http://stat.ethz.ch/CRAN/bin/linux/debian potato main HTH Hugh ============S=u=p=p=o=r=t===D=e=b=i=a=n===http://www.debian.org===========Dr. Hugh C.
