Is there a reason that readline still has a 32-character limit for the
prompt, or is this just historical?
Now that I/O is much expanded (thanks Dr. Ripley), readline() could be
replaced by:
readline <- function(prompt="") {
cat(prompt)
readLines(n=1)
}
